“You are not your feelings. You just experience them. Anger, sadness, hate, depression, fear. This is the rain you walk in. But you don’t become the rain. You know the rain will pass. You walk on. And you remember the soft glow of the sun that will come again.” - Matt Haig, author
Who I Work With
Life gets messy. Sometimes you feel off track, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward.
I work with people who want space to reflect, reconnect with what matters, and take gentle steps toward growth — even when things feel uncertain.
How I Work
My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — a gentle, evidence-based way of working that helps people make space for difficult thoughts and feelings, stay present, and move towards a life that feels meaningful.
Coaching with ACT isn’t about quick fixes or forcing change. It’s about creating space to notice what matters to you — and finding flexible, kind ways to move in that direction.
Where Coaching Happens
I offer coaching in-person near Ulverston, from my quiet garden studio, or online for clients across the UK.
The studio is a calm, private space — relaxed and comfortable, without distractions — where you can take time to pause and focus on what really matters to you.
If you're working with me online, we'll create that same sense of calm and space, wherever you are.
Free Consultation
I offer a free consultation — a chance to meet, talk a little about what’s going on for you and see if coaching feels like the right fit.
“I found Debbie’s friendly and supportive approach gave me the confidence to really look at my values and actions in an honest, but not judgemental way. She is kind, patient and generous. She encourages you to be kind to yourself. Working with Debbie is powerful and empowering, illuminating and, believe it or not, fun.” Zosia
