Working Together
“The central shift is from a focus on what you think and feel to how do you relate to what you think and feel. Specifically, the new emphasis is on learning to step back from what you are thinking, notice it, and open up to what you are experiencing.” - Dr Steven C. Hayes, originator of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Support
Coaching with me is a chance to take a breath — to explore what’s going on for you, connect with what matters, and gently move forward.
Whether you're feeling stuck, facing change, or simply want space to reflect and think things through, coaching offers time and support to pause, notice, and choose your next steps with care.
You don’t need to have a clear goal. You don’t need to feel ‘ready.’ You just need to be curious about something different.
My Approach
My coaching is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — an evidence-based, compassionate approach that helps you build the tools to respond to life’s challenges and reconnect with the things that matter most.
It’s not counselling, and it’s not a one-size-fits-all programme.
It’s a supportive space where we work with whatever you’re thinking about, feeling, or facing — and explore how you might relate to it differently.
What You Might Bring
Clients often come with:
A sense of being stuck or unsure what comes next
Big life changes or decisions
Overwhelm or self-doubt
A desire to live more in line with their values
A feeling that something needs to shift — even if they’re not sure what
We don’t need to label it. We just start where you are.
How It Works
I offer sessions in-person at my garden studio near Ulverston, or online from anywhere in the UK.
The space is quiet, calm and respectful — with time to talk, think, and gently make sense of things.
Sessions are 60 minutes long.
Your first session (up to 60 minutes) is free — a chance to meet, ask questions, and see whether coaching feels right for you.
After that, sessions are £45, with a pay-what-you-can option available.
Arrange a Free Consultation
If you’d like to find out more, I offer a free consultation so we can meet, talk through what you're looking for and see if coaching feels like the right support for you.
“This is more of a celebration of who you are and how to enjoy that, than a process of picking over your weaknesses.” Sophie
