Penn Orchard Coaching
About
Hello, I’m Debbie — a coach based in the South Lakes, near Ulverston.
I support people who want space to reflect, reconnect with their values, and move forward in ways that feel real and meaningful.
My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — an evidence-based approach that helps us respond more flexibly to life’s challenges, and build a life guided by what matters most.
Coaching with me isn’t about offering quick fixes or advice. It’s a space where you can slow down, explore what’s going on for you, and work through patterns or thoughts that might be keeping you stuck. I bring curiosity, honesty, and a deep respect for your experience — and together we look at how to move towards what matters to you, even in the presence of discomfort.
I began my career in education, working for many years as a teacher and adviser — supporting learners and professionals through all kinds of change. That work taught me a lot about listening, encouragement, and the power of gentle challenge — all things I now bring to my coaching practice. I’ve since trained as a coach and developed my work through ongoing learning in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and related approaches that focus on values, flexibility, and self-compassion.
What links it all together is a long-standing belief that people grow best when they feel seen, supported and able to take their time.
I offer coaching in-person near Ulverston, from a calm garden studio, and online for clients across the UK. Whether we’re meeting face-to-face or online, the space is quiet, respectful and focused on you.
People come to coaching for all sorts of reasons — sometimes they’re facing change, sometimes feeling stuck, and sometimes just needing space to think and breathe.
If you’re curious about how coaching might support you, I offer a free consultation so we can talk, ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.
